Common Medication
FDA's general position: The FDA, due to the current state of their regulations, has taken the position that virtually all shipments of prescription drugs imported from a Canadian pharmacy by a U.S. consumer will violate the law.
FDA's exception: Section 804 [21 U.S.C. 384] Item (j)(3) of the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act allows the importation of prescription medication from Canada or any other country as long as they are accompanied by a valid prescription, and in quantites not exceeding 90 days supply for personal use.
